Daylight robbery foiled in a Depot Store in Chicago

Posted on | July 26, 2009 | No Comments

Recently there was interesting news that went around in Chicago and people have been warned of such miscreants. A very decent looking man dressed in light blue shirt with buttons down and dark slacks went to a depot store and he had a gun with him, which was concealed in a newspaper. He went to the store’s cash register and asserted that he wanted the contents of the safe that were placed there, but the clerk was very sharp, he actually refused to do so, instead what he did was that he immediately turned on the public address system so that all the people outside could hear what he was saying.

Immediately the thief on knowing that he was going to be manhandled he fled the scene and entered another store named Fannie May candy store and robbed various things from that store by threatening the staff at gunpoint as told by police. He successfully completed the robbery and fled from the spot in a white taxi. The staff of the store said the man would be between the age of 30 to 40 and there were no causalities reported in both the robberies. Thus the public should be aware of such miscreants who can cause injury and can lead to death also.
